Emergency situations can happen with little warning, and being prepared ahead of time can make a meaningful difference for you, your family, and your home. To help residents feel more confident and prepared, the Town of Hinton invites the community to attend a Community Emergency Preparedness information session at the Hinton Municipal Library.
This session is designed to provide residents with clear, practical guidance on preparing for natural disasters and other emergencies. Led by the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) in partnership with the Town of Hinton, the presentation will walk participants through the basics of emergency preparedness in an easy‑to‑understand and accessible way. Attendees will learn what steps they can take now—before an emergency occurs—including how to build a reliable emergency preparedness kit and create a plan that works for their household.
Whether you are just getting started with emergency preparedness or looking to refresh your knowledge, this session offers valuable information you can use right away.
