The Hinton Mountain Bike Association (HMBA) will be grooming select trails in the area. these trails are for non-motorized physical activities such as fat biking, snowshoeing, dog walking, and hiking.
They will be using a specialized groomer, similar to one used by nordic centres, which is towed behind a small snowmobile.
Grooming is a slow process. The snowmobile travels 5km/hr. This slow speed is to assure that the snow is being packed. Once groomed, the trial will take a few hours to harden before it is ready for use. The majority of the grooming will occur at night, allowing the trail to set before usage.
Trails groomed: Just Get There, The J/EZ, Ranger, GS, Cleo's, Halloween, and Just Giv'er.
