Traveling north at the Highway 16 and 40 Junction is the Bighorn Route to Grande Cache and Grande Prairie. Highway 40 South leads to the small community of Cadomin.

In 2009, the Hinton Transit System became a permanent service for the residents of Hinton. This service provides transit service 6 days a week throughout the community.
