Each week, we bring you the latest updates, important notices, and community highlights to keep you informed and connected. From council decisions and upcoming events to local initiatives and public service announcements, this weekly digest is your one-stop trusted source for what’s happening in our municipality.

1. What is the purpose of this newsletter?

The newsletter provides residents with timely updates on council decisions, municipal programs and services, community events, and important public notices—all in one convenient weekly format.

2. How often will the newsletter be published?

The electronic news and events round-up be published weekly, every Friday afternoon, ensuring you stay informed about what’s happening in Hinton. A monthly version will be distributed with utility bills and available at Town buildings.

3. How can I subscribe to the newsletter?

Visit the Town of Hinton website at www.hinton.ca/notifyme and sign up with your email address. A subscription link will also be shared on our social media channels. Please remember to set your spam blocker to allow mail from listserv@civicplus.com.

4. Can I read the newsletter without subscribing?

Yes! All newsletters are available through the 'Notify Me' page. Click 'View Previous Messages" under Hinton Highlights. Bookmark this page for easy access!

5. Is the newsletter available in print?

This weekly newsletter is digital-only and delivered via email. A monthly version will be distributed with utility bills and available at Town buildings.

6. What will happen to the monthly newsletter?

The monthly newsletter will continue under the Hinton Highlights name. It will remain a two-page format, distributed with utility bills (both physical and electronic) and available in paper form at Town buildings, including the Government Centre, Recreation Centre, Library, and FCSS at the Guild.

7. What kind of information will I find in the newsletter?

Each issue includes:

  • Council News & Decisions
  • Program and Service Updates
  • Upcoming Events
  • Public Notices

8. What about urgent or emergency updates?

The Hinton Highlights email list will only send extra messages when there is important public information or a public safety concern.

For updates about transit, traffic, or emergencies, please subscribe to the specific mailing lists on the Notify Me page. Information about recreation and family and community support programs will be shared through the Recreation and FCSS mailing lists.

9. Will my email address be shared?

No. Your email address will only be used for newsletter delivery and will remain confidential in accordance with privacy regulations.

10. How do I unsubscribe?

You can unsubscribe anytime by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter email.

11. How can I provide feedback on the newsletter?
