Wellbeing Way

Wellbeing Way is an initiative by the Hinton Rural Mental Health Action Team, in collaboration with the Town of Hinton.

Hinton's Wellbeing Way offers two unique walking paths with messaging that focuses on the “Five Ways to Wellbeing.” They can be found at:

  • The path from the Library to Harry Collinge High School in Gordon Moore Memorial Park
  • The path from Switzer Drive near the hospital to Lions Park on Mountain Street.

The Five Ways to Wellbeing are internationally adopted, evidence-based actions we can take to improve our individual mental and physical health. One in four people experience mental distress during their lifetime. Adopting the Five Ways to Wellbeing:  Connecting, Keep Learning, Being Active, Taking Notice, and Giving to Others, can increase your life expectancy by up to 7.5 years, improve your quality of life, and collectively increase your community's well-being.

Take some time to stroll through the Wellbeing Way pathway to learn more about how these five strategies can enrich your everyday life!
