New Water Rates

Starting this spring, water use will be billed by volume.

The new structure includes a $50 monthly flat fee ($40 water + $10 sewer) and a consumption rate of $5.50 per m³.

If you use no water, your bill stays at $50. The average Albertan uses 5.85 m³/month — about $32.18 in usage charges, or $82.18 total.

The change is scheduled for Mar. 1, 2026, but Council may choose to defer this to May 1 at Tuesday’s meeting.

Using less water lowers your bill, and the flat fee supports maintenance and future upgrades. Learn more about the Water Treatment Plant Development project here.

75% of Water Meters Installed

If you live in a single‑family home and don’t have a meter installed yet, call Neptune at 1‑800‑667‑4387 to book your appointment. Meter installation is mandatory and free during this project, with evening and weekend options available.
