  2. Beaver Boardwalk Engagement Session

    The Beaver Boardwalk Committee has been welcomed to appear at the Parks West Mall on Saturday February 8, 2020 from 12pm - 4pm. On location there will be devices to allow you to immediately share your feedback through the survey, as well as a display to assist in the viewing and understanding of the map, regions, and sections identified.

Winter Magic Festival

    To help kick off the 2020 Winter Magic Festival, local, valley businesses bordering Athabasca Avenue are putting on a not for profit event for anyone over the age of 18 years of age. The event is FREE with a donation to the Hinton Food Bank. Event organizers are donating the cost to hire the "Athabasca Barn Burners" (local folk band from Jasper) to perform at the newly renovated THE VENUE. Businesses will be matching their cost for entertainment by providing "inkind" financial support to Bridges and Freddy's Place and collecting food bank items. THE VENUE is gifting facility and food costs and will offer a toonie cash bar.

    February 8, 2020, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ RANCHER'S TWIN PINES RESTAURANT REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR PASSPORT to be stamped. PASSPORTS can be picked up at the Municipal Library before the Festival begins.

    Coffee/Tea sale proceeds at various coffee-serving restaurants will be donated to Compassion House - a place that provides invaluable service to residents of rural Alberta who need to go to Edmonton for cancer treatment and follow-up. Volunteers will help serve coffee/tea and share information about Compassion House.

Winter Activities in Switzer Park: Snowshoe Trails, Ski Trails, Fat Bike Trails, Ice Fishing, Tobogganing, Winter Camping, Hinton Nordic Centre REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR PASSPORT to be stamped. PASSPORTS can be picked up at the Municipal Library before the Festival begins.
