  1. Property Assessment Explainer

    June 19, 2019, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Hinton Government Centre

    Property Assessment and Tax Notices are mailed out prior to the end of May each year. Notice to Town of Hinton Taxpayers Combined Property Assessment & Tax Notices were mailed on May 23, 2019. If you are a property owner within the Town of Hinton and have not received your Property Assessment & Tax Notice please contact the Tax Department at 780.865.6017 or taxes@hinton.ca. As per the Municipal Government Act all assessed persons are deemed to have received their assessment and tax notice 7 days after it has been sent. Failure to receive a tax notice is not a valid reason for non-payment of taxes. An Assessment open house will be held on Wednesday June 19, 2019 from 10:00am-4pm at the Hinton Government Centre (131 Civic Centre Road) for any assessment questions you may have. The last day to appeal your assessment is July 30, 2019.

    Activities : Indigenous Dancers and Drummers, Local Musical Performers, Bannock Making Contest, Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Tipi Display and Free BBQ If you would like to enter the Bannock Making Contest, please bring your bannock to the Centre by 2:00 pm and voting will be done by the participants by tasting samples. Baked and Fried Bannock are welcome.
