The Town of Hinton helps coordinate a magical mixture of art, food, recreation, and family fun events organized by community groups. This winter celebration is a seasonal highlight and has been running for over 25 years! We are looking for volunteers to help build the festival's events.

Bring your coloured 1L milk container block to add to our colourful community igloo. With your support, we can build it!

Using spray bottles of colourful water, we will be turning the Green Square into a canvas for poetry, drawings, and other creative expression

YRAF & Recreation and Culture Department Join us for an evening skate at Maxwell Lake where student-decorated Lantern Bags will light your way. Lantern bags will be decorated by studentsin Hinton and displayed around the skating loop.

Bonhomme Carnaval is Hinton’s annual outdoor winter carnival celebration of French Canadian culture with traditional activities of maple syrup sugaring off on snow, Norwegian sledding, cross country skiing, traditional meat and sugar pies, homemade lunch, music, RCMP in serge, and the mascot.
