    Hinton’s Föhn Festival is a celebration of our community’s multiculturalism and a toast to our healthy and thriving cultural community. The word Föhn comes from the German word for warm winds and is reflective of our warm Hinton hospitality. This family-friendly event features music, dance, cultural food booths and an open-air market all from countries around the world. Admission to this event is FREE and is wheelchair accessible The Föhn Festival is a GREEN event and is 100% volunteer run.
  3. RAIN or SHINE EVENT
    We are a Rain or Shine event and don't have control over Mother Nature. Vendors are required to operate regardless of weather conditions. Vendor fees are non-refundable.

  5. WE ARE GOING GREEN!
    The Föhn Festival is trying be environmentally responsible through recycling and reducing its carbon footprint and minimizing the amount of garbage and food waste entering into our landfill. Please do not USE or DISTRIBUTE Plastic bags. Please ensure that you are doing your part and using the appropriate containers provided when disposing of any waste or recycling. Contact the Vendor Coordinator if you have any questions.
  6. Recycling
    Includes: Paper, cardboard, plastic wrap or cellophane, tin cans, glass
  7. Vs. Refundables
    Includes: pop, juice, aluminum cans, plastic water bottles, milk jugs or containers, tetra packs.
  8. GLITTER, HENNA, FACE PAINTERS ONLY
    Glitter Tattoos, Henna artists and Face Painters are regulated under Alberta Health Services. These vendors are required to adhere to the following guidelines.
  9. GENERAL INFORMATION
    Pop up tents and on-site power are not provided to craft, artisan, non-profit or business vendors. Vendors are encouraged to provide their own power [generator, battery, etc] and shelter if required. 10 x 10 tents [if available] are $50 in addition to your vendor fees.
  10. Do you require additional tables?*
    You will be provided with [1] One 6' plastic table and two chairs
  11. Setup Times
    Vendors are required to be setup and ready to go by 10:00 am the day of the festival (No exceptions please) Your booth must be manned at all times for the duration of the event.
  12. Do you have your own generator or power supply?*
    Quiet, silent type generators are accepted for booths requiring additional power requirements.
  13. Entension Cords / Power Bars
    Vendors are to supply their own extension cords. All extension cords and power bars must have 3-prong ends and be in good shape with no frayed cords or worn, broken or missing prongs.
  14. Do you require a 10 x 10 tent?
    $50 additional fee and based on availability
