What does the Community Grant Program do?
The Community Grant Program provides funds for: one-time projects and initiatives, operating expenses of organizations in their development stages, and events for residents and visitors.
How are submissions judged?
Applications will be ranked on the following criteria: needs assessment, analysis and planning with measurable targets and outcomes, cost-benefit value, degree of financial need of applicant/how much self-help, demonstration of thorough project plan, number of people impacted and how, financial stability and planning, and credible previous management of project/activity/organization.
What type of project is eligible for Community Grant Program funding?
Each project or request must meet the following eligibility requirements: funding request is at or between $1,000 - $10,000, funds support eligible expenditures, funding is approved on a matching grant basis, and previous monies received from the Town of Hinton have met reporting requirements.

How complicated is the application process?
The application requires information regarding the organization, the project, finances, and more. To ensure all eligible groups are able to apply, a number of supports have been made available including an online Applicants’ Guide and access to the Hinton Connects team, who can answer questions and provide guidance for preparing applications.
