Wildfire Update for Hinton Area 6/28/18 9am

The Town of Hinton in cooperation with Yellowhead County and Alberta Wildfire maintain that the wildfire located in Yellowhead County does not present any immediate threat to our community. The wildfire has grown in size overnight, and at this time Hinton Fire and Rescue are working with our Yellowhead County partners to maintain the safety of our community.

Town communications staff will be supporting Yellowhead County in sharing information updates to the public throughout the day, as information comes available. At this time Hinton Fire and Rescue has not been deployed and Hinton residents and visitors continue to be advised that no action is required.
