Notice from ATCO: Temporary Gas Service Interruption on September 18 at the Rec Centre

ATCO will be conducting work to install a new gas meter at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre. This work is being led by ATCO.  

Schedule of Work:

• September 17: ATCO crews will be on-site to begin digging behind the facility. 
• September 18: Gas service will be shut off to allow for the installation of the new meter. This means that there will be no heat or hot water during the shut-off.
• September 19: ATCO will complete their work, including site cleanup

Service Impacts on Thursday, September 18

The gas shut-off will affect the entire Recreation Centre and all areas within the facility, including: 

• Hinton Municipal Library
• Youth Centre
• Family Resource Network
• Daycare

There will be no heat or hot water in the building on September 18. Please plan accordingly if you are visiting the facility on Thursday.
