Ice Programming Resumes at Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre

The Town of Hinton is pleased to share an important update regarding the ice surface at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre. 

The ammonia plant repair was completed last night, and air quality testing confirmed safe conditions before reopening this morning.

All scheduled ice programming will resume as normal beginning at 4 p.m., today, September 11, 2025. Regular programming will continue tomorrow and beyond.

Please note that, due to the loss of ammonia and the subsequent melting, the ice surface is currently uneven. The Arena Service Unit is working diligently throughout the day to level, edge, and flood the ice in preparation for this evening's activities.
