Make a Splash for Safety  During NDPW

Join us at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre Pool from July 20 to 26 for a full week of fun and educational water safety activities as we celebrate National Drowning Prevention Week.

Here’s what’s happening:

July 20 – Swim with a Buddy
Bring a friend and get a 2-for-1 pool entry.

July 22 – Pool Safety
Pick up a colouring sheet and learn how to stay safe around pools.

July 23 – Swim to Survive® Challenge
Roll into deep water, tread for one minute, swim 50 metres — earn your Swim to Survive Certificate.

July 24 – Supervision Awareness
Grab an awareness pamphlet and learn how to be a great water watcher.

July 25 – Substance Use Awareness
Pick up resources on how alcohol and water don’t mix.

July 26 – Boating Safety & Lifejackets
Find your best-fit lifejacket and get free pool entry.

Each activity connects to a WaterSmart safety theme, helping you and your family stay safer in and around the water this summer.
