Transit Route Update Coming May 20
After several weeks of testing the changes implemented in February 2025, the Town of Hinton is updating the Public Transit routes. Thank you to our ridership for your continued patience during this transitional time.
Starting May 20, 2025, Hinton Public Transit will move to a dedicated 60-minute route and a 60-minute transfer that will include a Hill Loop and a Valley Loop. This change replaces our current 40-minute route and is part of the ongoing work to create a transit system that better serves our community.
Each stop will now be served Monday through Saturday at the same minute past the hour, making the schedule more predictable and easier to follow.
New Service Hours (starting May 20):
- 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
As part of the route improvements, bus stop numbers and some locations have changed:
- New Stop #32 has been added on Smith Street by Ranchers.
- Stop #2 has moved across Swanson Drive to the Alliance Church side.
- Stop #3 has moved across Swanson Drive to the corner across from 7-Eleven.
Please check the updated maps and signage to find your stop location.
We know that changes like this take time to adjust to, and we’re incredibly grateful for your patience and support as we work toward the best possible system.
