New Youth and Student Transit Passes

New Youth and Student passes launch this September on Hinton Public Transit.
As of September 1, young people aged seven to seventeen, and students enrolled in public and post-secondary education will receive a special rate for travel. Children aged six and under will continue to ride for free and must be accompanied by an adult.
The new rates for youth and students are as follows:
- Youth cash fare: $2 per ride
- 3-month pass Youth/Student : $50 for unlimited rides
- 12-punch card Youth/Student: $25 with no expiry
The 3-month passes are for Sept-Nov, Dec-Feb, Mar-May, Jun-Aug. Youth rates are for 7-17 years of age. Student ID is required for student passes.
Current rates available are:
- Cash fare: $3 per ride
- Day pass: $8
- Monthly pass: $70 for unlimited rides
- 12-punch card: $30
- Quarterly Seniors Pass: $50
Seniors Pass is for 65+ of age and unlimited travel on transit for a 3 month period.
Hinton Public Transit passes are available at the Town of Hinton Government Centre, Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre, The West Fraser Guild – FCSS, Safeway, and King Drug in the Valley Shopping Centre.
