Highway closure due to Jasper Park Fires

Westbound Highway 16 past the junction with Highway 40, west of Hinton, is blocked by a checkpoint due to wildfires within Jasper National Park. There is no estimated time of re-opening available for Highway 16 within Jasper National Park is available at this time. Westbound traffic will be redirected back to Hinton, or onto Highway 40.
