Switzer Drive Water Line Construction Update

Contractors will continue to work along Switzer Drive, starting from the lights at Hardisty Avenue and extending to the Brick, during work hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Switzer Drive Water Line Construction project will result in the following disruptions to services, including a small delay to the Hinton Transit bus loop. 

Date: Friday, August 2
What to Expect:

• Switzer Drive will reopen for all traffic after 1:00 PM. 
• Please take precautions due to bumps and loose gravel. 
• Follow any posted signs or instructions from on-site personnel.

Date: August 2 to August 6
What to Expect:

• One-lane traffic on Hampshire Road
• Vehicles should approach the intersection of Hampshire Road and Switzer Drive with caution.  

Date: Wednesday, August 7
What to Expect:

• Switzer Drive, full closure between Hardisty Ave intersection and King Street to pave the open cut areas. 
• Please drive with caution and follow the detour route, as there will be no traffic. 
• Switzer Drive will reopen to all traffic after 4:00 PM.
