Hinton Rural Mental Health Action Team and The Town of Hinton Introduce "Wellbeing Way"

May 7, 2024

The Hinton Rural Mental Health Action Team, in collaboration with the Town of Hinton, is excited to announce the launch of the “Wellbeing Way” initiative!

Located between the Library and Harry Collinge High School in Gordon Moore Memorial Park, the Wellbeing Way offers a unique walking path with messaging that focuses on the “Five Ways to Wellbeing.”

The Five Ways to Wellbeing are internationally adopted, evidence-based actions we can take to improve our individual mental and physical health. One in four people experience mental distress during their lifetime. Adopting the Five Ways to Wellbeing:  Connecting, Keep Learning, Being Active, Taking Notice, and Giving to Others, can increase your life expectancy by up to 7.5 years, improve your quality of life, and collectively increase your community's well-being.

Take some time to stroll through the Wellbeing Way pathway to learn more about how these five strategies can enrich your everyday life! While you are there, snap a picture and tag FCSS-Hinton on Facebook to be entered into a wellness basket valued at $400. The contest period is from May 7 – May 30 and is in no way associated with Facebook.
