Lane Restrictions Resulting in Traffic Flow Change

Dear Residents, 

The Town will be undertaking an emergency watermain repair on Switzer Drive over the next few days, weather permitting. The repair is located on the Northbound lanes of Switzer Drive (downhill travel towards the Valley) between the Highway 16 overpass, and CN Rail bridge over Switzer Drive.

The repair will impact both northbound lanes of Switzer Drive. Consequently, all traffic will be diverted to the Southbound lanes (uphill travel towards the Hill). This will result in one lane heading north, and one lane heading south, stretching from Robb Road to Kelley Road. 

The repairs are scheduled to commence on Friday, August 24, WEATHER PERMITTING. To ensure smooth traffic management, McStrong Safety Services will be working with the Town to provide effective traffic control. We kindly urge motorists to exercise caution, watch for workers and equipment at work, and follow any directives from traffic personnel.

While we understand that these traffic adjustments may cause some delays to your regular commute, we kindly ask for your understanding and patience as we complete these necessary repairs to our water system. We encourage you to plan ahead and prioritize everyone's safety as you navigate through this construction area.  

Please keep in mind that Drinnan Way is not a designated hauling route, and commercial traffic must not use Drinnan Way as an alternate route to access the Valley during this time.
