Staffing Announcement: CAO Olsen 

After nearly 11 years with the Town of Hinton, Emily Olsen is leaving her most recent role as Chief Administrative Officer. She began in 2011 as Communications Coordinator and moved to Strategic and Communications Advisor, then Strategic Services Manager, before becoming the permanent CAO in 2020.  Ms. Oslen notes “It has been my pleasure to serve Hinton for the past 10 years alongside my fellow members of Administration who have supported and inspired me during my time with the Town. I look forward to seeing Hinton continue to establish stability and balance in the delivery of essential and quality of life services to the benefit of every member of our community.”  Mayor Marcel Michaels added, “On behalf of Council, I want to thank Emily for her years of service with the Town. She has been an asset to the organization, and I wish her well on her new chapter.”
 
Ms. Olsen’s departure from the Town is effective Thursday, March 17, 2022, with Paul Hanlan continuing as Interim CAO. Permanent recruitment for this role has yet to be determined
