Town of Hinton Halloween Events
October 15, 2021
Calling all the Monsters, Witches, and Warlocks! Come on down to the Rec Center on Halloween for an afternoon of scary skating, spooky swimming, and for the brave, a tour of the haunted Dreary Dressing Room. To finish off the night, we have frightening fireworks for all to fear.
Through Council's support and direction, the postponed Canada Day fireworks, for this year only, will take place on Sunday, October 31st, at 7:00 p.m. at the Gordon Moore Park in honor of Buzz Johnson.
Buzz was a former Councillor in Hinton. For years, Buzz's home was a unique Halloween attraction in Hinton. He took immense pleasure in personally decorating his home to become a haunted house. Buzz opened his doors to hundreds of children and adults, where they were both amused and terrified. He would finish up the evening with a fireworks display for all to enjoy.
The Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre will be hosting various events on Halloween; the Province's Restriction Exemption Program (REP) protocols will be in effect. All ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses are welcome!
