Weekly Pool Boiler Update

In conjunction with the Community Services Department, the Town’s Development & Infrastructure Services Department is committed to keeping the community up to date on the progress of the Hot Tub and Play Pool boiler replacement work.

Due to a program scheduling error, last week's Canada Day update did not go out as scheduled. Therefore, this week's update will include an update from July 1st and 8th, 2021.

July 1, 2021 Boiler Update:
This week, two main actions are taking place simultaneously to ensure project timelines remain as short as possible. On June 30^th, the boilers were purchased and are expected to be shipped in the following week. At the same time, the Development & Infrastructure Services team has worked to complete the Request for Proposal (RFP) for onsite work to install the boilers.

July 8, 2021 Boiler Update:
The boilers have shipped and are expected to arrive within the next 7 days! The Development & Infrastructure Services crew is now working to coordinate the appropriate equipment to ensure the Play Pool and Hot Tub boiler can be properly transported into the recreation facility in preparation for the install. While we await the arrival of the boilers, the team will be reviewing submitted install proposals and awarding the project. Scheduling of on-site work and logistics is expected to occur next week with an expected work start date as early as July 19, 2021.

At this time, while the pool facility is open, the Hot Tub and Play Pool remain closed. Further updates will be provided weekly.
