May 20, 2021
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Town of Hinton will not be participating in Environment Week (Spring Cleanup) or the Annual Household Toxic Roundup.
Residents may still bring their extra waste (spring cleanup) to the Landfill during the week of May 31-June 5, 2021 for Environment Week for free (excluding railway ties, hazardous materials and asbestos). Items must be placed in proper locations for recycling and disposal.
Household Toxic Items and e-waste materials may still be dropped off year-round at the Landfill. We accept paint cans, aerosol cans, batteries, propane bottles, fluorescent tubes, cleaning products, E-waste (TV’s and computers accessories), furniture, tires, metals, used oil and filters as well as appliances (fridges, stoves, washers & dryers). There is no charge for residential customers as long as these products are sorted.
Due to Covid restrictions, please ensure that you are wearing a mask and wear gloves while dropping off recyclables a Rowan Street or waste at the Landfill. Thank you.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
