The Town of Hinton is confirming that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19.
Upon being identified as a close contact of a confirmed case on May 5, 2021, the Town employee began self-isolating, and tested positive for COVID-19 a few days later. We are pleased the employee notified management after close contact confirmation and quickly took the appropriate steps to self isolate and get tested. The Town’s internal Safe Work Practices were activated immediately, and rigorous environmental cleaning of the necessary areas was completed immediately. The Town completed the contact tracing process and notified employees who had been identified as close contacts to provide them with further guidance. At this time, no additional positive test results have been identified. Upon review of the confirmed case, combined with the negative results of close contract testing, the Town has determined no additional actions are required at this time.
