Staffing Announcement: Communications Coordinator
December 17, 2020
Strategic Services Manager Heather Waye and the Town of Hinton are pleased to announce the hiring of Mir Faiaz as the Communications Coordinator for the Town of Hinton. Faiaz has been a member of the Town of Hinton staff since May of 2020 as a Municipal Intern, and in that time has quickly become essential in many projects, including as a co-creator of the Hinton Success Stories podcast, Municipal Clerk for Assessment Review board hearings, and more.
Faiaz's experiences both here in Hinton, and previously at UBC, the United Nations Secretariat, and Innovations for Parity Action will continue to be put to work here in the Hinton, and Faiaz's continued commitment to community involvement is sure to be noted and appreciated.
Please join Waye and the Town of Hinton in welcoming Faiaz to this new role in the Town of Hinton team.
As we accept Faiaz onto our team, the Strategic Services Branch would like to thank Joshua Yaworski for nearly 5 years of service with the Town as Communications Coordinator. Josh began as a contract employee with the Town in the spring of 2016, and by the end of that year was brought on full time to enhance both internal and external communications of the organization. Yaworski has worked hard to balance the needs of all the Town’s Department and will be greatly missed.
The Corporate Services Department, as well as the CAO’s office in particular, will indeed miss Josh’s booming voice, exuberant attitude and keen eye for creative change opportunities. We wish Josh all the best in pursuing a passion project – Big Bird BBQ. See you at the food truck Josh!
