The Town of Hinton received the below from the Hinton RCMP and are resharing to our network for resident and staff information. December 9, 2020
 
Hinton RCMP Detachment Doors Closed
 
Hinton, Alta.  Effective December 10, 2020, the Hinton RCMP detachment doors will be closed to the public.  Hinton RCMP members continue to work 24/7, and will respond to calls for service.  If you have a complaint, please call 780-865-5544.  If it is an emergency, call 911.  The Hinton RCMP administrative line 780-865-2455 will continue to be answered during business hours with the exception of  1200 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  You can call this number with any questions you may have, or if you are inquiring about a criminal record check.  

 
If you attend the RCMP detachment and need to speak to a police officer, please call 780-865-5544, or pick-up the yellow phone outside of the front doors to the Detachment.
 
I want to emphasize that the RCMP will continue to patrol and respond to calls for service.  The closure of the doors is to limit individuals from entering the detachment at this time.
