Emergency Water Main Repair Tomorrow in Wapituk Drive Area

The Town of Hinton has discovered an underground water main break located on Hardisty Ave at the intersection of Wapituk Drive, impacting our ability to maintain normal water level reserves at the Hardisty Reservoir. Due to this impact, the Town will be conducting an emergency water main repair starting at 7:30 AM tomorrow (July 17, 2020).

Three lanes of traffic will be restricted down to one lane via signs and barricades, with Flag Persons controlling traffic. Area travelers are advised to expect delays. Lighted signs are currently in the area informing residents.

Due to needs to complete the repair, residents on Wapituk will be out of water service from approximately 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, when the repairs are expected to be completed.
