This holiday season, the Town of Hinton brings three magical days of festive fun. From December 19–21, we invite you to step into a celebration that brings the community together, warms hearts, and creates memories that last a lifetime. 

Snow Much Fun Weekend isn’t just an event—it’s an experience. It’s about laughter echoing through crisp winter air, the sparkle of holiday lights, and the joy of sharing special moments with family and friends. Whether you’re looking for a cozy evening under the stars, unique gifts for loved ones, or a splash of holiday cheer, this weekend has something for everyone. 

Friday, December 19 – Light Up the Night Drone Show

Imagine the sky above Gordon Moore Park coming alive with a dazzling display of lights and patterns, choreographed by hundreds of drones. Before the show begins at 8 p.m., enjoy free tractor-wagon rides, sip on warm coffee and chai lattes, and soak in the festive atmosphere starting at 6 p.m. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with wonder and excitement. 

December 19–21 – Santa’s Craft & Gift Shop Market

Looking for that perfect, heartfelt gift? These local vendors have you covered with handmade treasures and unique finds. The market runs all weekend at the Hinton Library’s Tom Peterson Room: 

• Friday: 5–7:30 p.m. 
• Saturday & Sunday: 12:30–3:30 p.m.

Support local artisans, discover one-of-a-kind items, and check off your holiday shopping list in style.  

Sunday, December 21 – Skate with Santa & Swim with Elves

The fun doesn’t stop on Sunday! From 1–4 p.m. at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre, lace up your skates for a magical glide with Santa himself. Then, dive into a festive pool party where you can float and watch the 2018 version of The Grinch on the big screen. Bring your own clean floaty for the ultimate holiday movie experience! Plus, enjoy a scavenger hunt, button making, festive decorations, and surprises that will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a holiday storybook.
