Congratulations to the Recipients of the Trans Mountain Bursary!

December 23, 2024

The Town of Hinton is proud to announce the first recipients of the Trans Mountain Pipeline L.P. Bursary! These students are pursuing trades, technology, or environmental programs directly linked to the pipeline industry, and we praise them for their dedication to building strong, skilled careers that benefit our community and beyond.

As part of the Community Project Agreement signed with Trans Mountain Pipeline L.P. in 2020, this program awards up to 18 bursaries of $2,800 to students between 2024 and 2028, supporting their post-secondary education in fields connected to the industry.

A huge round of applause for this year’s recipients!  We were thrilled to present them with this bursary alongside Mayor Nissen to recognize these students’ exceptional achievements and aspirations for post-secondary studies.

  • Lauren Coté (picture 2) is in her second year of Microbiology and Biochemistry at UVIC.
