New Digital Sign is Coming to the Rec Centre

Contractors on behalf of the Town of Hinton have informed us that they will install the new digital sign in the Rec Centre parking lot to help share updates, events and recreation programming on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. This is an exciting update for the sign at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre, which was installed in 2005 and taken down in October of this year after nearly 20 years of dedicated service.

Please avoid parking near the signposts in the parking lot on Wednesday, December 18^th. This date is tentative based on the Contractor’s planning and weather-dependent. Once the contractors complete the installation of the sign, then, the Building Maintenance Service Unit will establish the power connection from the Recreation Centre to the parking lot. This means the sign won’t be operational immediately after installation. However, we’ve ensured all required electrical components are either ready or on order to avoid unnecessary delays.
