Upcoming Beaver Boardwalk Maintenance

The Town of Hinton and the Beaver Boardwalk Community Oversight Committee are pleased to announce the next operational maintenance and repair phase to the Beaver Boardwalk.

Having already completed sections CC, DD, EE, FF, H, and half of section GG (with a temporary solution for the other half), the Beaver Boardwalk is poised to undergo further improvements to provide an even better experience for locals and visitors alike.

The upcoming phases, slated to begin at the end of May and continue through the summer, will see sections K, L, and M completed by our dedicated parks staff. These sections will undergo various forms of maintenance, including lowering certain sections to eliminate the need for railings, levelling out uneven areas, replacing worn and loose boards, and installing new wayfinding signs.

The Town kindly reminds residents and visitors to adhere to posted construction signage and ensure that staff have adequate space to carry out their work safely. 

Additional phases of Boardwalk maintenance, which necessitates frozen winter conditions, are scheduled for late 2024. More specific details will be provided in the upcoming summer months.
