ComServ Timelines
The Town of Hinton, recognizing residents want for more information regarding the community services that have been impacted by pandemic response needs, has begun issuing biweekly newsletters known as ComServ. Hinton Municipal Library
While libraries fall in the Phase 2 relaunch strategy of the province, the Town of Hinton Library Board will be making decisions based on their ability to establish and maintain safety precautions for staff and customers, timing for staff recalls and capacity to implement a relaunch transition plan.
Arenas
Requirements for reopening include:
- Staffing return to bring capacity to regular levels, training, refrigeration start-up and ice making takes a minimum of 3 weeks before first use of one sheet only.
- Phased-in usage with restrictions for both public use and ice user group programming to be expected
Pool
Requirements for reopening include:
- Staff return to bring capacity to regular levels, training, basin fill (water balancing) takes 3 weeks before first use ·
- Drop-in program with phased-in usage and restrictions to be expected
- Lesson registration expected to be available at start of operation
Currently, the Pool Facility is undergoing Annual Maintenance, usually scheduled for September. As result, the above requirements for reopening must also include the completion of this work.
Courts/other indoor facilities
Requirements for reopening include:
- Court and meeting room usage available in second week after staff return
- Phased-in usage with COVID-19 guidelines (cleaning, restrictions, and measures to avoid spreading) to be expected
