I am introducing myself as the PCAP Mentor serving Hinton
and Edson. The program serves high risk women and their families for the
purpose of harm reduction and preventing further alcohol and drug affected
births. The position provides direct outreach, home visitation, case
management and advocacy services to high-risk mothers who have used alcohol
and/or drugs during pregnancy, as well as to their children, partners, and
extended families as needed. With the latest stats showing that 4 in 100
Canadians are affected by FASD, this program targets FASD prevention directly.
I am available to assist with referrals, provide FASD
information and answer any questions you may have. I would be happy to
attend agency staff meetings and provide more information if that is of
interest to anyone. Attached are the PCAP program referral forms.
Thank you very much,
Bianca Hannula, BA
