Hinton's signature event! The Föhn Festival is Hinton’s opportunity to celebrate the region's historical significance, connect with neighbors, understand the cultures that make up our community, increase a sense of community pride and showcase our rich diversity to new residents and visitors. The Föhn Festival Society of Hinton is a non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers.

Canada Day celebrations include - Parade, Pancake Breakfast & Fireworks, as well as great entertainment in Green Square all day!

July 19 - 21 2013 • Entrance Ranch (8km North on Hwy 40)
Don't miss out! This year's lineup includes Sam Roberts Band, David Wilcox, Fred Eaglesmith, Matt Andersen, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Elliot Brood and more! Weekend passes are still available with trailer/tent camping available on-site!
The festival features two performance stages, beer gardens, food and art vendors, and kids activities. We are currently seeking festival volunteers as well as sponsors.

The 3rd Annual Beaver Bike Fest was scheduled for June 15, however due to weather it will be rescheduled. Registration starts at 9am and events start at 9:30 am with the ever popular age six and under Pump Track race. This is followed by a mini Downhill race on Flow Master, a Skills competition (with riders choose an easy or hard line), and then the very popular Dirt Jam, which wraps up the day. However, while we are tallying scores, there will be two just-for-fun events. The "Foot Down" competition will make its return followed by a "Snail Race" which makes its premiere.

Local bike shops, as well as some very supportive Jasper shops, will be making thier presence known with bike demo's from Specialized, GT, Rocky Mountain, and others.

The Town of Hinton helps coordinate a magical mixture of art, food, recreation, and family fun events organized by community groups. This winter celebration is a seasonal highlight and has been running for 24 years! We are looking for volunteers to help build the festival's events. Entries in music, voice, instrumental, writing, pottery, visual arts with venues and performances all over the region, some of Alberta’s top artists in their genre are brought in to adjudicate the works volunteers bring the arts alive for two weeks!
