Explore, connect, and learn through play. Browse our resources about child development, play, special parenting topics & connect with other ‘grown-ups.’ Out of the Box- A play based learning program that works on the 5 developmental areas for the child. Physical, social, emotional, language and thinking, and communication through a surprise activity each time. These are theme based activities.

Enjoy this time to interact with families and allow your children to bond with others. Baby Rhyme Time: An early language development program of songs, finger-plays and rhymes for parents/caregivers with 0 to 2 year olds. An interactive session designed to enhance bonding of the key child-adult relationship, promote early childhood development, begin literacy skills, meet other peers and especially have lots of fun.

  1. Pool Shutdown for Annual Maintenance

    September 5, 2016 - October 2, 2016 @ Pool

    The Hinton Recreation Centre Pool Facility will be closed from September 5 through to October 2 for annual maintenance. Rec Centre Staff have struck an agreement with our neighbours in Edson, Grande Cache, and Jasper to ensure users do not miss their swimming activities. Any Hinton Pass Holders will be permitted to use these facilities at no extra charge, although you must have you pass when you visit. As well, for the many Hinton residents who enjoy aquafit activities, Jasper's aquafit class will be welcoming patrons into their classes for only an additional $2.43.
