I was born at Hinton General Hospital in 1972. Though I have always called Hinton home, I technically lived in Brule throughout my childhood but attended school in Hinton where I graduated in 1990. I then went on to study Business Administration at Red Deer College.
In my early twenties I moved back to Hinton where I have lived ever since. I met my wife Cindy in Hinton and we have raised our two children, Carter and Victoria here.
I own and operate a successful construction equipment and materials supply company in Hinton. My experience in construction affords me a unique perspective and understanding in managing large organizations, especially the specific challenges that major infrastructure construction brings.
I have also sat on various boards and committees including the Community Engagement Advisory Committee, the Hinton Regional Economic Development Coalition, the Hinton Grant Funding Advisory Committee, the Town of Hinton Participatory Budget Committee and I have also held the positions of Treasurer and Vice-President seats on the Hinton & District Chamber of Commerce.
I’ve spent my whole life here, I’ve seen firsthand the Hinton’s achievements but I’ve also seen the challenges Hinton has faced. Hinton is a great community but, as great as I think Hinton is, I think it can be better and I appreciate being elected to Town Council so I can help make it so.
